‘Asbestos Contamination in Soil’ Workshop

EC Sustainable staff attended an event detailing asbestos awareness and policy in NSW. The event was organised by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) and the Safety Institute of Australia (SIA).

This workshop provided an introduction into the application of recent changes to asbestos management in soil so that when asbestos is identified, it can be appropriately managed. Workcover NSW and the EPA have provided clarity and consistency in the way that asbestos is managed when identified in soil.
